I want to share a couple of tips that I’ve found very helpful in my business and life. These help me to cultivate and sustain a high level of energy, intentionality, and as a result, create a high level of performance and success with anything that I choose to endeavor. There are a few things that are very important to do this:

  • Create strong routines
  • Put certain habits and disciplines on autopilot
  • Take out the decision fatigue that we often waste valuable time on, on a daily basis

Some of the biggest areas you can do this are nutrition, fitness, health, your calendar, time management, and your goals. We want to create a system so that there’s less thought and more output. When we can systematize and automate certain things that are critical to us achieving a high level of energy and intentionality, we can perform better. We can create better results in our business, career, in our life, and we can live more fully. Isn’t that the goal? We all want to live more fully. We all want to show up more strongly. We all want to create a bigger impact.

Define Your Habits to Systematize

For me, I create an 11 daily habits checklist. On this checklist are things like every morning I read my affirmations. I spend 45 minutes to an hour reading important news articles, to stay abreast of what’s happening in the world. I exercise, I take my supplements, I drink five glasses of water, I journal, and I meditate. I make sure that I follow my calendar and hit my daily goals.

I also have a strong evening routine. I eat clean throughout the day and I take time for myself. At the end of the day, there are 11 daily habits that I aim to achieve. I usually hit 9 or 10 out of the 11. Many days I hit all 11, but sometimes I only hit 7, especially if I’m traveling. The goal here is not perfection, but commitment, growth, and consistency. So think about ways in which you can create a level of automation, of systemization, of addressing these categories in your life by putting certain habits and disciplines on autopilot so that you don’t even have to think about it. You just do it.

Focus More on What’s Important

Some people might think this actually restrains your freedom and your ability to act and think creatively. This actually does the opposite because when we can take care of certain things in important areas of fitness, nutrition, and time management, it allows so much more thought and energy to go into more important endeavors. So that’s the idea. Strip away the decision fatigue, strip away the noise, and focus on what’s important. We want to be able to show up, live more fully, more energetically, and healthier.

I’ve found these tips to be extremely significant and impactful in my life, and that’s why I wanted to share them with you today. Even if you just changed one or two things or develop a couple of new habits over the next week or two, start small.
